As you may very well know, I only have one sibling, Cody, my sister. She is often called a free spirit. She gallivants around the world on a regular basis. So, when she is in the near vicinity, I do my best to spend lots of time with her. She's back to Montana after living in Honolulu, HI for a a while no is off to Hainan, China to work for a non profit saving sea turtles.

At any rate, Cody's long time boyfriend, Dominic is always with her when she is in Montana. Dominic just got a new puppy. He's a English Setter and about the cutest coolest little dog I've ever met (don't tell Lucca dog). His name is Wiley Mountain Wingman, Wiley for short. Anyways, there were over here at the studio the other day and we took the doggies for a walk. He was way wound up, running through the snow and grass. After walks, he hit the pillow and becomes a putty dog. Seriously, when he falls asleep, you can do anything and everything to him.

So darn cute! I am such a sucker for animals.

Mike and Rhianna were married January 3rd, 2009 in Livingston, Montana at the Redeemer Lutheran Church. I am sure you remember them from their engagement photos I posted last week. They are the most fun energetic couple. Their families gather at the little church on a crisp  afternoon and enjoyed a traditional Lutheran ceremony. The church was decorated with holiday and winter motif by miss Rhianna. The church is adorable and is location where they filmed the church scenes in A River Runs Through It.

The rented an authentic Yellowstone Park Jammer Bus. It was super old and super cool. They loaded the wedding party and me into the bus and headed to Chico for the reception. It had no heat and only canvas covering our heads, so everyone stayed warm under blankets and with celebratory cocktails. We stopped at Malards Rest for pics. The light was georgous, the mood was festive and the bus was a great accessory to the backdrop.

Rhianna wore a August Jones, Chenoa gown from Avant Bridal, a veil by Jennifer Leigh
a Marabou feather wrap provided by Katalin Green, shoes by Anne Klein, garter by Annette Picarillo and jewerly by Debra Moreland (Paris) The bouquet & wardrobe styling was beautifully provided by Katalin Green.

There are tons of photos of Rhianna... I couldn't help it! She's just so beautiful and fun... not to mention a total ham!

Jennie Lynn and Meggan of Blubird Images helped me out. A good handful of these shots are theirs. You can view more of their photos from the wedding if you visit the Blubird Blog.

This is Hannah Galloway. Isn't she gorgeous!!? We did this shoot in mid October for her senior portraits. Hannah is a aspiring photographer. It was a blast cruising around town in search of cool locations. She is a natural in front of the camera too.

I'd love to hear what ya'll think!

So I was reading Jessica Claire's blog last week... January 7th to be exact and read that she's decided to declare blog bankruptcy...I've decided that this is a fabulous idea. Literally, I am about 23 weddings, 40 portrait sessions, and numerous personal blogs behind. So, I too am going to wipe the slate clean and start fresh. Ahhhhh... that's better. I can breath again...

So to start this a new I am going to blog about my most recent wedding couple. Rhianna and Mike. We did there engagement portrait session in mid November and they were married on January 3rd. The engagement session was a blast! They brought Guss, their great mastiff puppy! They were so full of love. Rhianna is quite the sparkle. You'll see from the photos, she's always laughing, being silly and fun.

So we had a great time at the Woodlands on Sunday. We officially launched Blubird Images to the world. We met lots of lovely brides, grooms and their friends and familys, mixed and mingled with other vendors and... last but certainly not least, took the models out doors for some photos.

The Woodlands is the back drop. After Five & Weddings provided the gowns and tux and the Posie Patch provide the bouquets.

Larry... doing his thang...

The Woodlands is a great backdrop for photos at any time of the year.

Larry, this photo cracks me up. You look like such a Lady's man!

The Famous "Private Road" sign at the Woodlands.

The fabulous Larry shooting away.
