The 8th annual issue of Montana Bride was released this week and I am so proud and honored to have my photo featured on the cover as well as many more featured throughout this classy, beautifully put together wedding magazine.

Last July, Katalin Green, event designer extraordinaire, artist and stylist, Mollie Eckman, Katalin's assistant and event coordinator and Page Kuntz, the blonde bombshell model and myself headed out on a mission to create a memorable look for the cover of Montana Bride 2009. Katalin hand picked her favorite dresses from the 2009 Augusta Jones wedding gown line, created gorgeous floral arrangements (www.avantfloral.com), and picked out a colorful gorgeous location to stage the shoot (you guessed it, the courtyard at Shack Up). Miss Deirdre Quinn of Indulgence did Page's makeup and Trevor Soucie of Tonic Salon did her hair.

You can pickup a copy of the magazine at select locations around Bozeman and you can always order a copy on the Montana Bride website.

I was honored to be chosen to photograph Zeno Baucus, son of Monana Senator, Max Baucus, and Stephanie Denton's wedding that took place June of last year here in Montana at Big Sky Resort. The wedding was feautred at the front of the magazine.on page 10! Katalin Green was the event designer, Avant Floral created the floral arrangements, Suzanne Ullom did the hair and Indulgence did makeup.

In the middle of the magazine there is a fashion spread that features more of my photos from our Montana Bride photo shoot in July. They chose to feature some fun "behind the scenes" shots. And, on page 55 my Lauren Brown Photography ad is featured adjacent my photos from the shoot!

Mollie Eckman wrote this article about gifts for wedding guests. They used 3 of my photos for this article (the top three).

Oh yeah, and this one is on the front of the Real Montana Brides section.

August 31st last summer, I had Royce Gorsush of Pondera Pictures come along with me to film me photographing a wedding. I had been wanting to put something together for folks to get a better idea of what it is like to work with me at their wedding as well as leading up to and after the big day. He filmed and I photographed Natascha Fau Fau and Greg Corbett's wedding that took place in Livingston (some of you may remember their engagement session from Janurary of last year). The preparation and ceremony took place at the Murray Hotel and the reception took place at the Livingston Depot. We jumped in our cars and headed to downtown Livingston and out of town to some scenic Montana locations to do photos. All and all the wedding was outstanding! Natascha and Greg did an amazing job of every detail.

Royce did a fantastic job! He has amazing sense of composition, sound, and killer editing skills! I recommend him highly to anyone who is in need of video work, of any kind!

Anyways, this is what he/we came up with. Hope you guys like it. You will always be able to find this video on the "about" page of this blog. I'd love to hear what you think!

Last week was a week of love and art. I had seen a poster around town for a ballet, the Les Dances de L'Amour. It looked amazing! I thought, professional ballet in Bozeman, I'm there. To my sweet surprise I got a phone call the next day from the Youth Arts in Action, the presenters of the ballet asking if I was available to photograph it. How excited was I! So, I spent most of the day on Wednesday at the Emerson Cultural Center photographing world renowned dancers rehears and preform modern and classical dances of love. The performers are from the Staatsballet Berlin Company which is rated as one of the top 5 ballet companies in the world.

There are so many great photos. The dancers are so beautiful, graceful and theatrical. I will have to post them in 2 stage, so stay tuned for more in the next few days.

Stage 1: rehearsal. Enjoy

Kelly and Marcus are getting married this July here in Bozeman under the Bridger mountains. The moment I met them I knew we would be a perfect match. They are some of the most fun, charismatic, loving, happy, motivated people I have ever met. They are always on the move.. social butterflies, skiers, hikers, hard workers, great beer drinkers! Like I said, we have a lot in common! It has been so much fun getting to know these two. They are so in love and such a handsome couple. I swear I laughed the entire engagement shoot!

We took off North along the Bridger Mountains and pulled over whenever we saw a location we liked... which was quite often since it is such a scenic drive and it was an absolute gorgeous day! We were so stoked on the sunshine! We ended the shoot at sunset in Wilsall where we stopped in at the Bank bar for some snacks and a beer. An awesome engagement session!

Marcus and Kelly, you guys are fabulous!

Ok.... so. Kelly and Marcus. I've decided to give you two the most handsome couple award of 2009. You traveled around the world to meet each other after having lives that nearly crossed in the states. It's so amazing how the universe conspires to bring folks together. On the other hand, I think it is fabulous that only had to travel a few blocks to find Lauren Brown. She has so captured your spirit and beauty. I am amazed at the raw talent that comes out of this woman, and with whom I am proud to be associated with in business, and as my dear frined. See you for beers again soon. Larry
