Twice a year I get the chance to photograph lovely models in lovely jewelry made by my friend, Jenny Christiansen. Her jewelry company is called Octavia Bloom and has been featured in boutiques around the country as well as in Anthropology!  She is truly amazing!

Jennie Lynn Stanley modeled for us the last session and did a fantastic job. Deirdre Quinn, owner of skin care and cosmetic boutique Indulgence, did Jennie Lynn's makeup. It was an amazing collaborative and much needed creativity session for me.

Ps. you can purchase Octavia Bloom Jewelry on Etsy as well as at Hey Day here in Bozeman. And, click HERE to see more photos from a previous Octavia Bloom shoot.

I really loved this whole shoot! Jenny Lynn has a natural inner joy which shows in her comfortable smiles and ease. The textures and backgrounds are particularly interesting and complementary. The wood grain behind Jenny Lynn is rich and brings out the gracefulness of the jewelry. One other I like has the orange wall behind her...rich in color. Lauren, you see and capture a myriad of beauty in all of your photos. And Jenny Lynn is a natural! As for the jewelry...I went right to her website! I want another piece now to add to my earrings.

My parents, Scott and Deb Brown own a store called The Base Camp. There are actually 2 stores, one in Billings, one in Helena. I was so fortunate to grow up having the best clothing, footwear and outdoor equipment that we got to test out... all of the time. I spent my childhood skiing, hiking, backpacking, camping, skiing and boating with my family in Montana and throughout the Northwest. It was an amazing way to grow up!

Now, as an adult, I am fortunate to get to work with and for my parents, helping with photography and advertising. We've (I say we because I can't help but take ownership of the beautiful store my parents have created) been doing some great print ads, emphasizing footwear. We are carrying lots of great shoes this year as well as great clothes for men, women and kiddos. The ladies at Edge Marketing and Design in Helena created the great ads and Dianne Morgan, the Billings store manager and Cindy Cast the Billings assistant manager put together and coordinated the shoot and great outfits.
