I am often asked if I do professional portraits. The answer is YES! I love doing professional portraits but I am the best at casual professional portraits. Bozeman, and Montana in general is such a casual place where everyone brings their dog to work wears Carharts on the job, heck, even our Governor wears a bolo instead of a tie. So, in my opinion, the best, most relate-able portraits are those not taken in the studio but out side, with a much more relaxed feel.

This is Corinne Garcia. She's an amazing freelance writer and editor living with her husband and two young boys here in Bozeman She has written for Women's Adventure, Christian Science Monitor, Northwest Travel, Pregnancy, Fit Pregnancy, and Fit Parent. She's so much fun. I think I captured her, especially in the goofy picture where she's crossing her eyes. She's always telling funny stories, laughing and keeping things light! Thanks Corinne!

Lauren and Stan are getting married this September at Laura's family guest ranch, the El Western just outside of Ennis, Montana. These two were in MT doing some final wedding planning, having family time, then heading on to their bachelorette and bachelor parties in other parts of the mainland.

Stan is Taiwanese, Lauren is a Montanan and now they reside in sunny warm Maui. They told me that they had a traditional Asian-style engagement photo shoot in Taiwan recently that lasted 14 hours and they had 7 outfit changes (holly molly)!!!! I got to see the album from the shoot which was absolutely stunning, really beautiful. Our shoot was only 2 hours but I think we still got some killer shots!

The day was very blustery and overcast. Actually, it was a pretty warm day for the end of March, in Montana (50 degrees) but the windchill really made it cold. We bucked up, braved the weather and had a blast taking photos all around the El Western and around Ennis. We had to take a couple breaks back at the homestead where Kris and John, Lauren's folks fixed us hot cocoa to help thaw our cold fingers. You'll see in their photos that they are a fun energetic couple. It was so much fun getting to know Stan, Lauren and Lauren's folks. I can not wait for their beautiful September wedding under the mountains and along the Madison River.
